With two children of our own we understand the difficulties that holidaying with little ones can bring. We have therefore tried to provide you with items that will make your holiday easier and even more enjoyable.
Just let us know if you need a travel cot or high chair and we'll leave these ready for your arrival.
There are two bathrooms in both Tŷ Haf and Tŷ Gaer, both have large showers and one has that all important bath, essential for washing away the sand after a fun day on the beach. We also provide non-slip bath mats and a step-stool in case they can't quite reach the sink.
We understand that no matter how many changes of clothing you bring with you, washing facilities are very useful with young children. At East Blockhouse we provide a separate laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. We also leave you some washing liquid and fabric conditioner so you don't have to bring any with you or buy a full bottle just to do a couple of washes.
Next door to our laundry room is our popular games room that includes a full size pool table, dart board, table football, plenty of books and a selection of toys for younger children. Given our remote location we also have a small honesty shop that contains some food items, toiletries and a selection of beach toys.
Tŷ Haf and Tŷ Gaer are set in 50 acres of land so there is plenty of space for children to play, run or cycle. As you can see from our photographs we do have steep cliffs on the seaward sides, however the buildings are surrounded by a fence so there is a secure outdoor space for younger children.
We provide outdoor seating and a picnic bench next to the accommodation and also folding chairs and a picnic blanket that you can use anywhere on the land.
Just a 10 to 15 minute walk down the coastal path takes you to Angle Beach. This is a great beach for children. It is a shallow cove so there are no strong currents to worry about and because it is not too large or crowded it is easy to keep track of your little treasures. There are well maintained toilets and a lovely cafe. And if you don't feel like walking down (or back up!) there is a large car park right next to the beach.
From the beach you can walk the short distance into Angle Village where there is the Hibernia Inn and a small park with a play area.
Travelling through the village and around to East Angle Bay it is just a short walk to The Old Point House pub. You can spend a leisurely afternoon sitting outside in the sun with a cold gin and tonic (or three) while the children have great fun hunting for shells and catching crabs off the jetty just below the pub.
At the end of a long day we provide a small selection of children's DVDs or we have free wi-fi if they like to wind down with their favourite cartoon online.
